Hashtags are back and everyone's loving it!

Hashtags are used on social media websites and applications to identify digital content on a specific topic. They are used by everyone from macro influencers, to micro influencers, to people with five followers! They are a fun way to help your post reach a wider audience and be placed with content that is just like yours. Today I will be sharing five different hashtags that are used on Instagram and display the content it reveals. Keep reading to learn more and see how fun hashtagging can be!

Hashtag 1- #ootdstyle

When searching up the #ootdstyle I found over 4 million post with this hashtag. OOTD stands for "outfit of the day" and people share their everyday basic looks and sometimes even tag the brands they are wearing so their followers can shop the product. When looking at the hashtag, I found instagrammer Brittany, also known as "heymamachic" and she post inspiration for everyday style for moms. She has 24.7k and receives anywhere from 600-1,000 likes on her post. I love that she is able to make content about her family and her style at the same time, while keeping her followers engaged. She uses the hashtag #ootdstyle and #ootdinspiration on a few of her post, it is obvious that she has a great sense of style. She is the definition of a "cool mom"! I must say I love to take pictures of my everyday outfits, maybe I will follow in Brittany's steps and begin to use this hashtag for myself!

Hashtag #2- #nycfashion

Living and going to school in NYC, I knew I had to look up #nycfashion. When searched, I found over a million post under this hashtag. I was in awe of all the different looks and outfit styles that came up under this hashtag. That's what I love about this city, you can wear anything you want and no one will judge you. Everything is fashion here! When looking through the post I found Instagrammer Sierra Alexis. She only has 1,056 followers, but her feed is amazing! She is based in NYC and I love the aesthetic she creates throughout her feed. All of her outfits could definitely be found on Pintrest at inspiration! I could definitely see her taking off as influencer in the future, I am so jealous of her feed!

Hashtag #3- #style

The third hashtag I looked at was #style. This hashtag had over 5 million posts! It revealed all different types of outfits, accessories, and even showed a few pictures of cars. I found an instagram account called dazzle haven with 430k followers. The account posts all different people in different environments and types of clothing. I love the diverse content brought throughout the account while also being able to develop an aesthetic throughout it. Any instagram user can post a picture using the #dazzlehaven and if they like your content they will post it on their feed. Definitely a unique and fun account that shows fashion in many ways.

Hashtag #4- #pufferjacket

During the winter, my go to jacket is a puffer, so I thought it would be fun to look at this hashtag and see all the different types and styles of them! I found 296,882 posts when I searched this hashtag and I fell in love with so many of the jackets. I want to buy them all! I love seeing all the different colors and ways people are able to style them. While looking through the posts under this hashtag, I found Instagrammer Michelle Joseph. She has 1,764 followers nd post petite outfit inspiration. I came across the picture of her wearing her black puffer jacket and fell in love! She made it look so trendy and even included the shop links for it. The fall aesthetic across her feed is amazing as well, and she has multiple posts wearing different types of puffers.

Hashtag #5- #lonelyghost

As you all know by now (if you've read my blog before), Lonely Ghost is one if my absolute favorite brands. I felt there was no better way for me to end off this blog post, then discussing this brand. When searching this hashtag, I found 3,292 post full of Lonely Ghost supporters. I enjoyed seeing all the different people wearing the brand and how they styled it. I came across instagrammer Paige Taylor. She has 61.9k followers and is 19 years old. She post daily content about her outfits that all give off the "influencer" vibe. I love the picture she took in the Lonely Ghost, "I love you say it back" long sleeve. This was the first product I bought from them! Overall, I truly liked looking at all the different post under the hashtags and seeing all the different products and people. I suggest looking up your favorite brand and seeing everyone who supports it as much as you!
