It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

The Christmas season has officially begun and the stores are taking full advantage of pulling customers in to shop! Retailers love to decorate their windows for the holidays in order to make customers come together to look at their products and lead them inside. Some people look forward to these presentations all year. Window shopping is fun for everyone! For this blog post I will be sharing with you guys five brick-and-mortar stores holiday themed windows, that you should all stop by.
#1 Macy's
The first store I wanted to share with you guys was Macy's. They are known for their decorative windows and make it a fun and interactive experience for all. However, this year Macy's windows are focused more on digital screens and games for kids rather than on showcasing their products. I was actually at Macy's last night looking at the windows and they have four windows that are just games for kids to play; they have to collect stars with santa or catch presents with elves. The games are a creative way to make families stop for sure, but I don't think it is the best way to bring a shopper into the store. Once the kid is done playing the game, the family will continue to walk and not even go into the store most likely. I think they should do more of a combination of both, they can still have the digital screens for kids but should also make sure they are displaying enough of their products as well. Overall, Macy's will always be a place I stop to window shop for the holidays, but there are definitely some changes they can make.
#2 Saks Fifth Avenue
The second store I wanted to share with you guys was Saks Fifth Avenue. Each year Saks window displays amaze me, they do such a great job of creating unique and exciting windows to look at. I love how every window is put together so perfectly and that there are no digital presentations, it makes the windows ten times more fun to look at when you know that someone sat there and took time to build these displays and put them together so elegantly. They also brought in Michelle Obama to their unveiling and did a collaboration with her which works to help adolescent girls around the world reach their full potential through education. To top it all off, they have a light show on the outside of the building that plays until January 4th. These windows are a must to see before the end of the Christmas season!
#3 Bath and Body Works
The third store I want to share with you is Bath and Body Works. I absolutely love looking at their set up and displays during the Holiday season. They do such a great job of creating a happy and homey vibe throughout their store during this season. Their holiday campaign and visuals excellently portrays their new products and scents that they are going to have during this time. They do a wonderful job of photographing their products in a Christmas landscape with snow, snowman, polar bears, and even inserting their holiday deals. Go check them out!
#4 Bloomingdales
The fourth store I want to share with you is Bloomingdales. Look at their use of color and creativity! Truly amazing how well they design and portray their products and create these fashionable and fun looks. I honestly really like the "cool games" window which is the photo on the bottom left with the penguins dressed up playing with all their toys in their room. All of their windows have spectacular detail in them and all tell their own story. I have to go see these in person this weekend and you should too!
#5 Bergdorf Goodman
The last store I want to share with you is Bergdorf Goodman's. All I can say is WOW! Look at the detail and creativity of these windows. These are more than just windows, they are art. I am truly stunned by these windows and I have to go see these in person asap. I will be staring at them in awe and I am so excited. These are definitely a must to see!
