If you have read my blog before, then you know that I am a huge fan of the brand Lonely Ghost. Everything about them is inspiring from their positive message, to the way it became successful, through the clarity of their brand, to their fanbase...I could go on forever. What I really want to touch upon in this post though is how inspirational their website is. It is so unique compared to other retailers and I love how interactive it is. Looking at the picture at the top of their website, to the left their main quote "I love you say it back" is going around the screen. If you didn't know, this quote is what made the brand take off. It was the first saying they printed on a random white T-shirt one day and everyone loved it. I think this is super creative because they are staying true to their roots and always have circling this positive message that made everyone fall in love with the brand. I also think they do an amazing job at staying on trend and making their consumers want to look at their website. Their use of the bright colors and bold words, with sections such as "Music, Shop, and Tickets" keeps the consumer engaged and looking for more. Their target market is mostly Gen Z and a little bit of Gen Alpha so engagement and curiosity are key for these consumers since their attention spans are so low.
As you begin to interact with the website, there is a section you can click on labeled as "Music". In here the consumer will see playlists made by Lonely Ghost full of songs that they believe their "Ghost Gang" will enjoy. I love this idea because music is so important to me, it my form of therapy and I believe this is a great way for the brand to connect to their consumers. This shows that the brand wants their fans to feel connected to them and allow them to see a bit inside their lives.
The next section of the website that you see in the first photo is the section labeled "Tickets". This is where I really felt inspired and thought this was a super clever idea. The brand is called "Lonely Ghost" (obviously), but what season do ghost make you think of? If you haven't guessed it already it's Halloween! Halloween is approaching fast and the brand wanted to do something fun and exciting for their consumers, so on October 27th they will present a "Lonely Forest". This event will be a haunted experience through a lonely forest instead of a generic haunted house. The people who attend the event will be able to meet other consumers, listen to music, have a palm reading done, and buy product that will only be sold at this event! I absolutely adore this idea and think it shows just how much the brand cares and wants to give back to their consumers. It is also a super smart way to advertise and market their products since they are selling an exclusive collection at this event. There is nothing a consumer loves more than exclusivity. I think other brands should be inspired by this and start to host events like this that are out of the ordinary, it makes the customers feel like you want to know them and truly care about who they are. I love when I feel like a brand truly appreciates their consumers and Lonely Ghost definitely makes everyone feel appreciated and welcomed.
The last part of their website I want to talk about is my favorite part, which is their "Shop" section. This section is always organized with their newest releases at the top and their past ones are at the bottom. I love how this section is super easy to navigate and the prices are listed right below the product. Also, an amazing feature they have is when a product is sold out, a consumer can click "notify me" and enter their email and as soon as the product is restocked they are the first to know. You can even sign up for their text club and they will send you countdowns to the drop and then as soon as a collection drops you will get a text that it is ready to shop. Overall, Lonely Ghost website is super inspiring to look at and shop through. The brand really makes you feel like you are family to them and they have so much to offer their consumers. Their positivity and creativity is truly amazing.
